Grant Applications

In total the Y.E.S. Project has generated income of £65,687 which is split as £28,827 cash payments to service users and £36,860 in white goods and household furniture.

United Utilities

We began accessing this funding in November 2009, submitting 44 applications of which 27 were successful. 18 were awarded financial assistance with their water charges. Debt was reduced by £4,267.74. Providing:- 9 cookers, 7 fridge freezers , 9 washing machines, 2 dryers, 4 flooring and we are still awaiting results of a further 15 applications.

Community Care Grants

In 2009 we supported 63 young people with CCG of which 46 were successful, 26 of these cases were won on appeal. From these 26 a further 9 were passed through the Independent Review Service.

Family Action Fund

We submitted 22 applications from June to December 2009 and 18 young people accessing our Tenancy Support Program were awarded cash grants, totalling £3,400.

Frank Buttle Trust

There were 28 applications made to this trust between March to December 2009 of which 25 tenants were successful in receiving the following:- 10 cookers, 10 fridge freezers, 1 washing machine and 4 cash payments totalling £1000.00.

Create

We applied to the Create Bursary Scheme in 2009 with 26 applications (15 were successful) securing the following:- 4 fridge freezers, 8 cookers and 3 washing machines.

KHT Abbey Grant

This funding began in August 2009 and we nominated 31 new tenants to receive grants up to the value of £500. All our 31 referrals were successful and they were able to fully furnish their properties. The Y.E.S. Project received £14,500 of the £60,000 available.
